In the Nineteenth century there was another person from the Basu Thakur family who passed his B.A. examination from Shibpur’s Bengal engineering College and joined ‘Martin Railways’ In the post of an engineer. Sri Manmohan Basu Thakur was the third son of Sri Kalikishore Basu Thakur. He was contemporary to Sri Manmath Kumar Basu Thakur. He was also very popular like Sri Manmath Kumar Basu Thakur in the cricket fraternity of Kolkata. He also loved his village very much. Along with his love for his village he also loved the villagers too. That is why after receiving his salary every month he used to money order a part of his salary to the poor people of the village. Many families in the village were helped by him and they were thankful to his contribution towards them. On 23rd of April 1924 he died in Malkhanagarh.
