Doctor Sanath Kumar Basu Thakur passed his M.B. examination from Kolkata Medical College in the year 1881. He then moved to Dhaka and started practicing there. After a few days he had an illness due to which his voice got distorted. After this illness he moved from Dhaka to Malkhanagarh. In his village he used to check people without taking any fee from them. After a few days his health broke. He then took retirement from his profession as a doctor.
